Adire Teems is a global African fashion and textile company distributing products that capture the African cultural heritage worldwide.
Our
Story.
Adire Teems started as an MBA entrepreneurship project at the Lagos Business School, where students were given NGN 5,000 ($3.20) as start-up capital. The founder chose to sell Adire fabrics and clothing in a bid to promote culture and preserve heritage.
Within one month, through aggressive marketing, the company achieved a turnover of over NGN 2 million ($1,600). Since then, Adire Teems has continued to pursue aggressive marketing as a means of achieving its target of 150% growth each year.
Within three years, the company grew to a staff strength of 46 and a total of nine stores. Adire Teems has participated in exhibitions and fashion shows in London, Cape Town, Ghana, Algeria and Banjul, and has off-takers around the globe.
Along the way, Adire Teems has turned prominent customers into brand advocates, including Tony Elumelu, Kola Adeshina, Hon. Rotimi Amaechi, Ahmad Sokoto, Ben Akabueze and a host of celebrities.
